NHS Dental Treatments at Antrim House
Dentistry is one of the few NHS services where you have to pay a contribution towards the cost of your care. The information on this page explains what you may have to pay for your NHS dental treatment.
Any treatment that your dentist believes is clinically necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health should be available on the NHS. You will not be charged for individual items within an NHS course of treatment. Depending on what you need to have done, you should only ever be asked to pay one charge for each completed course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it.

Situated just 2 miles outside of Wolverhampton City Centre, we have a large 6 surgery practice with a team who hold a wealth of experience and who have a friendly and caring approach.
We offer on-site parking, DDA access for patients of all abilities and a clean, modern look throughout the practice. Since 2019 we have made several improvements to the practice such as new decontamination rooms, revamping the reception and patient waiting areas, new dental chairs and enlarging the patient car park. All of our surgeries are well stocked with high quality materials and equipment.

A fear or phobia of the dentist is far more common than you think. This is usually caused by unpleasant past experiences. We like to reassure all of our patients that modern dentistry is very different to how it once was.
When booking an appointment, feel free to let our receptionist know that you are anxious. This way we can allocate a little more time for your appointment so you have time to chat about your options. All of our dentists are very patient and understanding when it comes to nervous patients. The best thing to remember is: you are in charge. We will never do anything you are uncomfortable with and we are not here to tell you off. Our team only strive to help you.
We treat both NHS and non-NHS patients at Antrim House Dental Practice.
All patients under 18 years of age or 18 and in full-time education are entitled to free dental treatment. If you are pregnant or had a baby in the last 12 months you are also entitled to free dental care. There are also certain exemptions that will entitle you to free treatment. Please check the NHS website to see if you are eligible.
We offer all NHS services from urgent appointments to routine care.
We also offer a variety of non-NHS services including implants, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers, Invisalign, orthodontics, surgical procedures, in-house hygienist appointments and more! Here at Antrim House Dental Practice, we are a big believer of “prevention is better than cure”. Visiting the dentist for regular, routine dental check ups enables us to spot and treat anything of concern before they develop into bigger problems. At each checkup your dentist will perform a full oral health screen - this not only includes your teeth, but your gums, jaw and checking for more serious conditions such as mouth cancer.
The current NHS charges are as follows:
Band 1: £23.80
Band 2: £65.20
Band 3: £282.80
