Invisalign is an alternative way to straighten your teeth, without the need for any metal wires or brackets, and better still…it is practically undetectable to those around you.
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners made of a thin medical-grade plastic uniquely designed by Invisalign. These fit comfortably over your teeth and are changed every 1-2 weeks to gradually move your teeth into alignment. This can take as little as 6 months; more complex cases can take up to 18 months. Each step is carefully planned with your dentist to achieve the best possible results for your needs and you will be supported throughout the whole journey.

Inital Consultation
Book in for a consultation with one of our experienced dentists, whatever your needs, we’ve got you covered! Our treatment coordinator will make sure you are booked with the most appropriate dentist based on your case.

Scanning & Treatment Mapping
Once your and your dentist are happy to go ahead with Invisalign, we will record your teeth and how you currently bite together. We can either record these with a set of impressions or an iTero 3D scan of your teeth. From these your dentist will be able to map out your treatment from start to finish and send these precise instructions to Invisalign so they can manufacture your custom aligners.

Fitting Appointment
Once your aligners are ready, you’ll need an appointment to fit your first set. Small dots of white filling material are placed onto the front surface of your teeth, these are called attachments and enable the aligners to move the teeth. Full instructions will be given on how to wear your aligners, how often to change them and how to look after them. Full support will be available, if you have any questions about your treatment, call the practice and will be more than happy to answer your query.
Your dentist will arrange to see you every 6-8 weeks to track your progress and provide you with further aligners.

Maintenance & Retainers
Once treatment is complete and you and your dentist are happy with the results…it’s time for retainers! Retainers are very important to wear after any orthodontic treatment to keep your new smile in place. It is at this point you may want to consider additional treatments to totally transform your smile, such as whitening, veneers or composite bonding.
